Art Stage Singapore announces new fair in Jakarta

Southeast Asia’s flagship art fair,  Art Stage Singapore,announced this week that  it will be launching a Jakarta branch with the first installment of the Indonesia fair to take place from 5 to 7 August 2016 at the Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel.


Dubbed ‘Art Stage Jakarta’ and headed by Leo Silitonga, the fair will focus primarily on content from Indonesia and will feature up to 50 galleries. It is expected the new fair will expand opportunities for these galleries to have a presence in Singapore and Jakarta.

As fair director of Art Stage Jakarta, Silitonga said, ‘Art Stage Jakarta will offer the same high standards and quality as Art Stage Singapore. It will bring galleries in direct contact with a domestic art market that is among the most active and vibrant in the region.’

The seventh edition of Art Stage Singapore will take place from 12 to 15 Janaury at the Marina Bay Sands Exhibition and Convention Centre.
